Amiaya Entertainment is a multi-faceted Black-owned entertainment company that was formed in 2003 as the realization of the dream of a budding Rap Artist, Antoine "Inch" Thomas. But Rap was not the vehicle, merely the conduit, because as it turned out, Amiaya Entertainment, as a publishing company came about because of a challenge from an associate and friendly Rap competitor.
In 2002 Inch ran into an associate he hadn't seen for approximately one year. Their encounter was eventful in that it culminated in an impromptu "Rap Battle" which produced no clear winner. However, it motivated the two to intensify their artistic efforts. However while "Inch" continued to concentrate on Rap, his associate turned his energies from writing Rap lyrics to writing novels. When Inch asked his friend had he recorded anything, his friend replied, "I did, but now I'm taking time out to write my first novel."
Initially unimpressed with his friend's switch in artistic concentration, Inch continued his efforts in Rap. In early 2002, "Inch" ran into his friend and after a mini Rap concert, he realized his true calling. It took his friend's conviction and dedication to wake him up. When "Inch" asked his associate how his novel was coming along, dude not only produced four novels he had written, but also a book of poetry!
His friend's message to "Inch" was simple: "Everyone has a story. You have to want to and know how to tell it." As the saying goes, the "lights went on" for "Inch" and eight days later he had written the outline for his first novel. Flower's Bed was born!
Amiaya Entertainment, LLC's daily operations are supported by both Antoine "Inch" Thomas and his loving wife and partner, Tania L. Nunez-Thomas, the co-CEO of the company. The couple's springboard property was Inch's first best-selling novel, Flower's Bed , which was published in 2003.
